Reading Term 2

I am learning to identify and make compound words.

I will know I can do this when I can find and match two words to make a compound word.

"Sometimes it's tricky to find the compound words.  I can play the compound word game on the iPad to help me.  I can ask my friends to help me too."

Writing Term 2

I am learning how to write more than one idea with details related to the topic.

We have been curious about our classroom frog and decided to find out a bit more about him.  We have created word clouds to show some of the things we have learned.

Maths Term 2

This was a little bit tricky to draw with the mouse.  I can find a half of a shape and I can find a quarter.  I can share out the beans to find half and quarter of a number.

Writing Term 1

I am learning to write more than one idea about a topic

I like story-writing.  I like to write about 'My Weekends'.  Sometimes story-writing is tricky because I don't know how to spell the words.  I have to sound them out and underline them.

Swimming Term 1

This term  we are learning to be safe around the water.

I am practising getting in and out of the pool safely, float on my back,  use a noodle and a flutter-board correctly and hold my breath underwater.

Maths Term 1

I Am Learning To Add And Takeaway Numbers In My Head

I played this game with Gabriella.

Sometimes it is tricky to count the numbers because I forget the number.

Next time my friend can help me remember the number or I can check the number with Mr Morrow.
